Business consulting firm Frost & Sullivan has awarded Agilent Technologies Inc. with the 2012 Global Frost & Sullivan Award for Company of the Year in the global radio frequency test equipment market.
The award is given to recognize “a high degree of innovation with products and technologies” and is presented to a company that “has demonstrated excellence in terms of growth strategy and implementation.” According to the firm, the decision was made based on its recent analysis of the radio-frequency test equipment market. Agilent supplies tools and solutions for designing, testing and maintaining RF and microwave electrical components and equipment.
“We are pleased to give Agilent this award recognition,” Frost & Sullivan industry analyst Prathima Bommakanti said. “Agilent has consistently maintained its position as the dominant player in the global RF test equipment market. Its success can be primarily attributed to a first-to-market position and a genuine focus on delivering the most value to its customers through a close working relationship with them.”
“It is exciting to receive this level of global recognition for our RF test leadership,” Andy Botka, Agilent’s microwave and communications general manager and vice president, said. “We work closely with our customers to support their need to turn ideas into validated products as quickly and reliably as possible. They expect their test equipment to provide enough flexibility to accelerate measurement insight and support industry standards while maintaining the highest level of measurement integrity.”
