The Board of Directors of Empower RF Systems, a high power amplifiers design, engineering and manufacturing company, has approved the appointment of a new CEO and the creation of a new executive chairman of the board position. The changes will go into effect Jan. 1, 2013.
Barry Phelps, the current CEO, will be transition to the role of executive chairman of the board. Phelps has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2007 and the company’s CEO since 2009. Phelps will remain active and involved with the company while managing board responsibilities.
Jon Jacocks has been promoted to president and CEO of Empower RF Systems. Jackocks has been the company’s vice president of sales since November 2007.
Rob Lauria, Empower’s current vice president of business development, will take over the position of vice president of sales.
