Researchers at the Centre Technique du Papier in France have developed a wallpaper capable of blocking Wi-Fi and cellphone signals.
Known as “metapaper,” the wallpaper utilizes a conductive ink to filter out specific frequencies, preventing signals from traveling in or out of an enclosed area.
The researchers theorize that the wallpaper may become most useful in places where cellphones could potentially cause a disturbance, such as in a hospital, movie theater or concert hall.
