Molex Incorporated, suppliers of interconnect products, announced the Stac64-e, a connector for automotive applications. The connector is made from 71 percent bio-based materials, a “resin derived from renewable plant-based castor oil,” and is in accordance with ASTM D6866-11, making it certified by the UL Environment ECV.
The Stac64-e connector is “designed to withstand harsh environments” and also has “successfully completed USCAR-2 Standard Class II validation testing for mechanical, environmental and electrical performance.”
