Bureau Veritas announced it has opened a Wireless/Smartworld Lab in Shenzhen, China. The company’s current footprint covers the U.S., Germany, France, Korea, Taiwan, and now China.
“With 7 out of the top 10 global smartphone brands being Chinese, Shenzhen being one of China’s three technology hubs and one of China’s Smart Cities, Bureau Veritas’ latest wireless/smartworld lab is ideally located to support their ambitious growth plans. Additionally, the world continues to become smarter with the number of products and applications relying on wireless communications technologies growing at an ever increasing pace,” according to the company.
“Our latest lab features the necessary equipment and capabilities to support the growing needs of technology providers and manufacturers / brands in the wireless/smartworld. Under the one roof we have RF / EMC, SAR, OTA and GCF/PTCRB covering 2G, 3G & LTE (RF and protocol) testing. We also provide access to a range of consulting and advisory services including FCC/CE support and international approvals management,” Dr. Daniel Lee, vice president of Bureau Veritas, said.
The new location offers conformance and performance testing and certification, engineering and consulting services, as well as regularity to clients in China.
