We are proud to unveil our new website, which we believe will make perusing information on electromagnetic compatibility a more interactive and dynamic experience for users, and help streamline the process for busy engineers.
First, we have placed a greater emphasis on technical articles, and the new website gives these pieces written by industry leaders the archival importance they deserve.
In the Search bar at the top of the site, you now can choose whether you want to search the Entire Site for a particular article, which will yield results from News, Products and Standards sections, or whether you want to get results from the Article Archive only. The Search functionality in general has been greatly improved, generating results more accurately and quickly than ever before.
If you go directly to the article archive by clicking Articles in the main navigation bar at the top of the page, you will now be able to browse through article by general topic area, such as Amplifiers, Antennas, Automotive, etc. After more than 40 years in the business, our archive has become quite vast, and we’re still trying to work our way through all the postings to make sure each article is presented properly with images, author names and edited text. We appreciate your patience as we continue this process, but we are working quickly to get through them all.
Like the rest of the world, we’ve been ramping up our interaction with social media, and you can see evidence of this throughout the site. You’ll find icons for Facebook, Twitter, Email, Google+, and Share This on specific articles and at the top and bottom of the homepage. By scrolling over the green Share This icon, you can send an article or posting to one of your colleagues through any means you prefer.
On the right side of the website, you’ll see a link of Latest Blog Postings, a brand-new addition to our website. Starting with EMC Zone, a blog on current issues affecting today’s engineers working in the EMC industry and written by EMC veteran Tom Mullineaux, we hope to offer an avenue for you to chat with your colleagues on issues both serious and fun. Be sure to check it out and take part in the conversation, and stay tuned for new blogs.
Other new features we hope you will find useful include:
- Digital Magazines: Find each issue available in PDF and electronic versions, or click on headlines under “In This Issue” for printable PDFs of individual articles.
- Calendar: Click on a month or day of the year to find a specific event, or scan the whole list. (Be sure to send your calendar listings to Cait O’Driscoll at codriscoll@interferencetechnology.com to make sure your event is included).
- Videos: Watch videos directly on our site simply by clicking the play button.
- EMC Buyer’ Guide: Find information on the products and services you seek and the companies that provide them, including videos, datasheets, white papers and other materials. Companies now will be able to take ownership of their listings and update information at any time, which means you are guaranteed to find the most updated information available each time you browse the guide. Stay tuned for more information on this new feature!
Once you have a chance to sample the new website, we’d like to hear what you think so we can adapt accordingly. Please email your comments to Publisher Paul Salotto at psalotto@interferencetechnology.com.
Enjoy!
