EMC Community, EMC Society Members and EMC Professionals,The Central Texas Chapter of the IEEE Electromagnetic Compatibility Society invites you to come to Austin, Texas and take part in the 2009 IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility to be held August 17 – 21, 2009 in Austin, Texas at the Austin Convention Center with the Austin Hilton Hotel as the Host Hotel located across the street. There will be no buses used; except for Tours, since the overflow hotels are also located across the street from the Austin Convention Center.This is a return to Austin event in 2009; since in 1997 the Central Texas Chapter held the 1997 IEEE International Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility in Austin. Since then the Central Texas Chapter has grown, Austin has grown, the Austin Convention Center has doubled in size and the new Austin Hilton Hotel has been built. Austin has changed a lot over the years including the addition of many high tech companies. The Central Texas Chapter again welcomes everyone back to Austin to enjoy a week of excellent Technical Paper Sessions, Workshops, Tutorials, Demonstrations, Experiments, Special Sessions, Working Group Meetings and Exhibitors presenting the newest in diagnostic, simulation, test and measurement equipment.Global EMC University will be held during the symposium again this year. The focus of the Global EMC University is to provide a continuous education track for those people who have graduated from an engineering school and have a few years in industry tackling some challenging EMC problems. The Global EMC University includes a curriculum taught by world-renowned EMC professionals. Please register early, since attendance is limited to ensure interaction with the instructors. CEUs will be awarded to candidates who successfully complete the course work.The Companion Tours will be from Sunday through Thursday. Please refer to our web site for complete descriptions. Our Reception will be held in the Austin Hilton Hotel, the symposium host hotel. The Gala will be held in the Austin Convention Center Ballroom with a banquet and entertainment.
