Vishay Intertechnology, a global provider of a wide line of electronic components, has announced the acquisition of a specialty wet tantalum capacitor line from KEMET Corporation for $35.2 and other consideration in the form of a three-year term loan of $15 million. Closing was scheduled to occur by the close of business on Monday, May 15, 2008. Dr. Felix Zandman, Executive Chairman of the Board and Chief Technical and Business Officer, and Dr. Gerald Paul, President and CEO, stated, “With this acquisition we broaden our product portfolio in specialty capacitors used in military, aerospace, and medical applications.
