Rigol announced a new firmware version 00.01.15 for the DSA815 Spectrum Analyzer that now includes the ability to save screen captures in either BMP, JPEG, or PNG.
Previously, the only file format was BMP, which is not recognized or importable into major word processing applications, such as Microsoft Word. It was always necessary to convert the BMP format to either JPEG or PNG prior to importing into documents.
The previous upgraded firmware (00.01.14) added the ability to display the frequency scale in log, rather than linear format, as well as the ability to add custom prefixes to file names.
Users will find both upgrades to be quite useful.
