MetaGeek, LLC and Cisco have released Chanalyzer Pro with Cisco CleanAir, a management tool that “combines the spectrum data-collecting abilities of Cisco CleanAir Wi-Fi access points with the visualization capabilities of MetaGeek’s Chanalyzer software.”
“Chanalyzer Pro with Cisco CleanAir increases visibility for end-users to troubleshoot RF interference remotely from anywhere in their network (or from a client perspective with a portable USB Spectrum Analyzer),” MetaGeek said in a statement.
“With today’s announcement, Cisco users can expect enhanced spectrum analysis and ongoing application improvements when using the new tool.”
According to MetaGeek, Chanalyzer Pro with Cisco CleanAir features “simultaneous 2.4 and 5 GHz visibility, providing the ability to display and record spectrum streams from both access point radios. It also provides support for Cisco’s WSSI (Wireless Security and Spectrum Intelligence) modules for the 3600 Access Point and enhanced interferer identification.”
