Software Upgrade for Electromagnetic Effects Analysis Program

Test and measurement company Agilent Technologies has released version 2012.09 of EMPro, an electromagnetic simulation software design platform for analyzing the 3D electromagnetic effects of components including RFIC packages, antennas and PCB interconnects.

According to the company, updated capabilities in the new software version include the ability to save EMPro projects as ADS libraries for use in schematics and layouts, a new FEM low frequency algorithm, faster FEM simulations, new add-on functions and additional integration with Aglient’s Advanced Design System (ADS).
