National Technical Systems (NTS), a provider of testing and engineering services, announced last month that it has entered into an agreement with wireless testing laboratory RF Exposure Lab to provide specific absorption rate (SAR) testing services at the NTS Silicon Valley laboratory in Fremont, Calif.
According to NTS, the new SAR testing laboratory in Fremont is equipped to test and certify “virtually any wireless device on the market, including tablets, handsets and body-worn devices” for national and international compliance.
“This alliance with RF Exposure Lab supplies a key piece in our overall service offering for wireless equipment manufacturers,” William McGinnis, NTS president and CEO, said. “There is a major international market for SAR testing [in addition to the] large market in the Bay Area . . . It’s a capability that is necessary to properly service our clients.”
