Russian president Vladimir Putin has approved the development of “psychotronic” guns that will be designed to disrupt the human central nervous system. The guns emit electromagnetic radiation similar to that found in microwave ovens.
“Such high-tech weapons system will be comparable in effect to nuclear weapons, but will be more acceptable in terms of political and military ideology,” said Putin.
Precise details of the new weapon remain closely guarded.
