Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced its new T55 series of surface-mount polymer tantalum chip capacitors, ideal for industrial, computer and telecommunication applications. These capacitors can be used in computers, tablets, smartphones and other electronics for power management, energy storage and more.
The capacitors are available in five compact sizes and are lead free, halogen-free, RoHs-compliant and Vishay Green. Other features of the T55 series includes a operation temperature range of -55 to +105 degrees Celsius, a wide capacitance range from 3.3 µF to 330 µF, over voltage ratings from 2.5 V to 10 V, and a capacitance tolerance of ± 20 %, according to the company.
