Cal-Bay Systems, a developer of automated test and measurement processes for mission-critical applications, has introduced Spectrum Defender, a platform that “combines both spectrum monitoring and RF recording into one portable, off-the-shelf PXI-based [package].”
According to the company, “Spectrum Defender equips engineers to monitor, analyze, troubleshoot and defend their valuable spectrum and system performance against costly disruptions caused by stray or hostile signals [from other licensed signal sources and the ever-increasing number of unlicensed devices in operation].” The new spectrum monitoring and recording platform is ideal for signal intelligence, electronic warfare, real-world RF interference testing, RF channel modeling and related applications.
