Pasternack Enterprises, Inc., has introduced a new family of consisting of three low insertion loss, high isolation and high speed modules that cover a frequency range of 1 to 12 GHz.
The new RF switches feature very high port-to-port isolation of greater than 90 dB at 1-2 GHz, 80 dB at 2-4 GHz and 75 dB at 6-12 GHz, while insertion loss varies between 1.0 dB and 2.5 dB depending upon the frequency and switching speed performance ranges from 35 and 75 nanoseconds.
Housed in SMA-connectorized casings built to withstand an operating temperature range of -54 to +85°C, the new PIN diode switches are suited for both military and commercial applications. The RF switches feature very high port-to-port isolation of greater than 90 dB at 1-2 GHz, 80 dB at 2-4 GHz and 75 dB at 6-12 GHz, while their insertion loss varies between 1.0 dB and 2.5 dB depending upon the frequency and switching speed performance ranges from 35 and 75 nanoseconds.
In addition, the switches are designed with complementary-metal–oxide–semiconductor (CMOS) transistor–transistor logic (TTL) drivers, and are fully matched internally for 50 Ohm input and output, which eliminates the customers need for any additional sensitive RF tuning components.
“Our new offering of high isolation switches are an important addition to our growing active RF component portfolio,” Michael Rachlin, director of product management at Pasternack Enterprises, said. “By making a large library of active components available from stock, Pasternack is helping RF engineers test their concepts and ideas more rapidly and complete their projects on time.”
