Useful for creating a variety of useful signals for EMC applications such as immunity pre-compliance and wireless simulations, Triarchy has introduced their VSG6G1 1 MHz to 6.2 GHz vector signal generator for a price of $441. The generator plugs into a USB port, has an “N” connector output, and can generate:
- CW (swept, hopped, or pulse),
- Analog modulation of AM, FM, PM, ASK, FSK, 4FSK, GFSK, MSK, GMSK, SFSK, based on the I&Q engine
- Phase modulations of BPSK, 4PSK, 8PSK, 16QAM, 32QAM, 64QAM, based on the I&Q engine
- Low frequency signal generator, producing sine, triangle, and arbitrary waveforms
The small device (100mm x 25mm x 25mm) has an output level range is -50 to +10 dBm (1 MHz to 2.2 GHz) and -60 to +0 dBm (2.2 to 6.2 GHz). The unit may be controlled via the supplied Windows-based user interface. The U.S. distributor is Saelig Electronics.
