Linear Technology Corporation recently announced its new synchronous step-down switching regulator, the LT8610AC. The industrial version, the LT8610ACIMSE, is guaranteed to operate in temperatures ranging from -40 to 125 degrees Celsius and the automotive version, the LT8610ACHMSE, can operate in temperatures ranging from -40 to 150 degrees Celsius.
The LT8610AC is accurate; it delivers efficiency of 96 percent. It is also adjustable and synchronizable from 200kHz to 2.2MHz. Other features of the LT8610AC include a wide input voltage range of 3.0V to 42V, continuous output current up to 3.5A, fast switch-on time at 30ns, minimum output voltage of 0.8V, output soft-start and tracking, low dropout and more.
