CST (Computer Simulation Technology), a developer and distributor of electromagnetic field simulation software, has released CST BOARDCHECK™, an electromagnetic compliance (EMC) and signal integrity (SI) rule checking program.
CST BOARDCHECK™ gives the user the capability to designate various nets and components that are critical for EMC, including I/O nets, power/ground nets and decoupling capacitors. The program examines each net to verify that it does not violate any of the selected EMC or SI design rules and displays any violations as a graphic or an HTML document. CST BOARDCHECK™ is compatible with ODB++ files as well as board files from Cadence Design Systems, Mentor Graphics and Zuken.
