Japanese electronics company TDK Corp. has announced the expansion of the EPCOS B84771 IEC inlet filter series with two new series. According to the company, the B84773 series features an integrated fuse, while the B84776 series has both a switch and a fuse.
According to the company, typical applications for the new IEC inlet filters include “switch-mode power supplies, office and measuring instruments, arcade machines, electronic POS systems, small electrical machines, fitness equipment as well as equipment for medical applications.” Both series are “particularly suitable for applications for which a minimized leakage current is important.”
Both series of IEC inlet filters have been designed for maximum ambient temperatures of 85°C and for rated currents from 1 A to 10 A. The B84771 version is also available for rated currents up to 20 A. Both series feature rated voltage of 250 V AC at 50/60 Hz.
