Recently, the EOS/ESD Association announced the recipient of the 2015 ESD Research Council (ERC) research grant.
According to the Electrostatic Discharge Association, the research team consisted of Pasi Tamminen, Tampere University of Technology (TUT); Dr. Jeremy Smallwood, Electrostatic Solutions; Dr. Wolfgang Stadler, Intel; and Professor Leena Ukkonen from the Tampere University of Technology, Finland.
They have been awarded the ESD Association grant for research titled “Practical current and charge measurements of CDM type discharges in Electrostatic Discharge Protected Areas (EPAS)-(AR5).”
Each year, the grant is awarded to academic professors and researchers who conduct exploratory work in the field of ESD.
The research advances ESD knowledge and includes fields such as device/design, materials, test methods or factory control methods.
