Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. introduces its new 500 mW Zener Diodes. The new PLZ Series are compact, stable, and offer high performance, reliability and ruggedness. They also have tight voltage tolerances, low leakage current and can withstand ESD pulses of 8000 V and temperatures up to 260 degrees Celsius. Due to the diodes’ low profiles and compact footprints, they save PCB space and increase speed of production in assembly lines.
“The Vishay Semiconductors devices offer 500 mW power dissipation with voltage tolerances of ± 2.5 % in a symmetrical class SOD-323 flat lead package. The devices are optimized for voltage stabilization and reference voltage generation in power supplies and LED lighting,” according to the company.
PLZ Series diodes are also RoHS-compliant, halogen-free, and meet the JESD 201 Class 2 whisker test.
