The new VME450 from Vicor Corporation is a single slot power supply characterized by 28 VDC (filtered) and outputs of 3.3, 5, and ±12 V. The VME450 meets MIL-STD-704F with a normal range input voltage of 22 VDC to 29 VDC, 28 VDC nominal, and 50 VDC (12.5-msec transient). This MIL-COTS solution is compliant per the vibration requirements of MIL-STD-810F and the EMI requirements of MIL-STD-461E. Unlike conventional technology VME power supplies, this product supplies users with 85 percent efficiency, a weight of just 2.4 pounds, and higher power of 550 W maximum. It utilizes Vicor’s proprietary VI chips, two M-FIAM modules, six PRMS, and six VTMs. Look for more product information on the Vicor website.
