CISPR 12 Ed. 6.1 (2009-03) is titled “Vehicles, boats and internal combustion engines – Radio-frequency disturbance characteristics – Limits and methods of measurement for the protection of off-board receivers.”
The limits of this International Standard are designed to provide protection for broadcast receivers in the frequency range of 30 MHz to 100 MHz when used in the residential environment. Compliance with this standard may not provide adequate protection for new types of radio transmitters or receivers used in the residential environment nearer than 10 m to a vehicle, boat, or device. This standard applies to the emission of electromagnetic energy that may cause interference to radio reception that is emitted from vehicles, boats, or other devices equipped with internal combustion engines. Significant changes to this new edition include general improvement in wording and the deletion of the narrowband/broadband distinction.
This consolidated version consists of the sixth edition (2007) and its amendment (2009).
