Schwarzbeck introduces a new antenna to complement their solution for Toyota, General Motors and Ford radar testing, DC magnetic field bands 1.2-1.4 GHz (lower band) and 2.7-3.1 GHz (upper band), check out their website, here.
With the introduction of the BBHA 9120 K High Gain Horn Antenna, Schwarzbeck Mess-Elektronik now has a complete solution for automotive testing of immunity against radar pulses in the bands 1.2-1.4 GHz (lower band) and 2.7-3.1 GHz (upper band).
Recently automotive standards ask for DC magnetic field testing with levels of up to 3000 A/m. This requires a Helmholtz Coil with MANY TURNS such as the FESP 5133 1330 or the HHS 5206-132.
Helmholtz-Coils are especially designed to generate precisely defined magnetic fields from DC to the upper end of the audio frequency range and beyond. The generated fields are in a strongly linear relation to the coil current.
The field-strength can be calculated exactly by analytical (or numerical) methods, based on the coils’ geometry, the number of turns and the coil current.
