Recently Vectawave Technology released two new amplifiers to address an automotive industry requirement to test RF immunity to L-band and S-band pulsed radar frequencies.
VBA 1200/1400-100 is being tested in the frequency range 1.2 to 1.4GHz at 1000 watts, and VBA 2700/3100-500 is being tested at 2.7 to 3.1GHz at 500 watts, with field strengths up to 600v/m.
“Both amplifiers are Class AB, which allows for reduced power consumption on low duty cycles, thus increasing efficiency. Also, being designed for CW as well as pulsed operation makes them useful for system calibration in addition to testing,” according to Vectawave.
