Linear Technology Corporation, a producer of circuits, introduced the LTM4637, a 20A DC/DC step-down micromodule regulator “with onboard precision differential remote sense amplifier.” The regulator operates at an “input voltage range from 4.5V to 20V” and “supports an output voltage range of 0.6V to 5.5V, set by a single external resistor,” making only a few input and output capacitors necessary.
The model allows for sharing of up to four regulators, to achieve a maximum of 80A output, and “supports frequency synchronization, multiphase/current sharing.”
