Swiss cabling specialist R&M has introduced the SafeLine network isolator designed to protect patients and medical equipment from disruptive electromagnetic fields and over-voltage accidents.

According to the company, the SafeLine network isolator is based primarily on a galvanic separator with a dielectric strength of 4KV AC and is suitable for use in 10/100/1000-BaseT-Ethernet networks. SafeLine meets international standard IEC 60601-1 requirements and is certified for in the US-American and Canadian markets.
