AVX Corp., a manufacturer of advanced passive components and interconnect solutions, has released a new series of “high-voltage, conformally-coated, radial-leaded [monolithic multilayer ceramic] (MLC) capacitors for automotive applications.”
According to the company, the new AR series capacitors “feature a working voltage range of 1,000V to 3,000V, are AEC-Q200 qualified and are available in two sizes—AR21 and AR30—[with] additional sizes available upon request. . . . Capacitance values for the AR Series range from 470pf to 68,000pf, and its tolerance values are ±5%, ±10%, ±20% and +80%-20%.”
The new capacitors are ideal for use in automotive electronics, high voltage applications and power supply decoupling and filtering.
