Mini Ceramics-Based Antennas Provide High Positional Accuracy
Sarantel Group PLC, a manufacturer and distributor of miniature filtering antennas for mobile and wireless devices, has released the SL1250 and SL1350 GeoHelix GPS antennas, two ceramics-based antennas designed for high positional accuracy.
Designed using quadrafilar helix design, the SL1250 antenna is ideal for any device susceptible to random orientation, including tracking devices, DSC/SLR cameras for geotagging and GPS/GSM mobile devices. The SL1250 antenna measures 10 mm in diameter by 17.75 mm in length with an embedded frequency of 1575.42 MHz and can operate in temperatures between -40°C and 85°C.
The SL1350 antenna is ideal for any tightly integrated GPS devices with multiple radios that require high positional accuracy, including mobile phones, digital cameras and sports watches. It measures 7.5 mm in diameter by 12 mm in length with an embedded frequency of 1575.42 MHz in GPS mode and 2440 MHZ in 2.4GHz mode. The SL1350 antenna can operate in temperatures between -40°C and 85°C.
