API Technologies, a provider of RF/microwave, microelectronics and security solutions for critical and high-reliability applications, today announced the addition of a new standard 44 GHz millimeter wave (MMW) amplifier to its family of products. The new model BXHF1075 amplifier features an ultra-high frequency, two-stage design for high gain and medium power, and is enclosed in a rugged, laser-welded SMA-connectorized housing.
According to the company, the new amplifier offers both high efficiency and extreme stability with 13 dB of return loss and is capable of generating 30 dB of gain and +17 dBm of output power off a +15 volt supply. An internal voltage regulator enables it to also accommodate either +12 volts or +15 volts. With its ability to operate successfully within a -40°C to +85°C temperature range, model BXHF1075 is ideal for demanding military requirements and high-end commercial applications, including microwave synthesizers, receives, millimeter-wave telemetry systems, uplink communication platforms and military communication systems.
