The MFIAM9 28-V-input attenuator module from Vicor Power supplies EMI filtering and transient protection for Vicor’s Maxi, Mini, and Micro Series of 24-V-input DC/DC converters. The front end filter module enables designers to meet the conducted emission and conducted susceptibility requirements of MIL-STD-461E, as well as the input transient requirements of MIL-STD-704A/E/F and MIL-STD-1275A/B/d. This MIL-COTS (commercial off-the-shelf) module accepts an inrush voltage of 10 VDC to 36 VDC and delivers output power of up to 500 W and output current of up to 18 A. Additional protection features include inrush current limiting, reverse polarity protection, and environment stress screening to MIL-STD-818 and MIL-STD-202. The MFIAM9 comes housed in an industry-standard half-brick module measuring 2.28 x 2.2 x 0.5 inches and weighs 3.3 ounces. Depending on the model, the module can be mounted onboard or inboard for height-critical applications. Two operating temperature grades are available: 40 to 100 degrees C and -55 to +100 degrees C.Find more product information at the Vicor Power website.Questions about choosing the right device for a military application?
