Electronic component manufacturer Murata Americas today announced the expansion of its LXDC line, a micro DC-DC converter series that utilizes a unique ferrite substrate to embed the power inductor.
Ideally suited for applications that require a miniaturized footprint, the new 55F and 55K additions to the LXDC product line deliver ultra-compact size and superior EMI noise suppression, as well as an adjustable output voltage between 0.8 and 3.6 volts. In addition, up to 3A can be delivered with input voltages ranging from 2.7 to 5.5V.
“Design engineers are under constant pressure to develop smaller and smaller end products. Murata’s LXDC series enables them to achieve just that,” Geoff Brock, marketing manager of new products at Murata Americas, said. “By using Murata’s proprietary inductor-embedded ferrite substrate and multilayer processing technologies, we deliver the class-leading products that feature-rich products require.”
