METZ CONNECT announces its new SC305 and SL305 terminal blocks with compact and cost effective spring clamp compression mount contacts.
“The SC305/SL305 utilizes METZ CONNECT proven Springcon technology for a secure, vibration resistant connection that automatically adjusts to wires ranging in size from 28 to 16 AWG. With a 5mm centerline, solid wires can be directly inserted for a simple, tool-less connection,” according to the company.
The SC305/SL305 Series assists wire-to-board connections without use of a header. Advantages of this product include: connection convenience through push-in technology, additional space for other components, self-cleaning contacting on the PC board, plug-in and pull-out forces for simple assembly, spring contact, high retention force under vibrations, and more. Also, a solder process is not necessary for wire-to-board applications.
