British telecom watchdog Ofcom has posted an opening for an apprentice field engineer to be trained in the diagnosis and resolution of radio spectrum interference complaints and associated regulatory/enforcement issues. In addition to listing the expected academic requirements, the notice includes such enthralling language as attendance at “high profile projects and major events such as the Formula 1 Grand Prix.” Also, applicants are to have “a working knowledge of criminal law procedures.” Of course, the opening involves more than high speed thrills and sleuthing.See for yourself online.
