The ITEM Publications Team is saddened to announce the loss of one of their own. A long-time employee of ITEM Publications, our accountant Mark Ambler died suddenly at age 57 on January 28, 2009. A native Pennsylvanian, Mark plied his accounting skills for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania before retiring in 2007. Still, after retirement he stayed on as a part-time, but indispensable, member of the ITEM staff. His mathematical skills smoothed the financial side of the day-to-day office operations, and we appreciated that talent. Still, everyone knew that his true passions in life were family and sports. He leaves behind his wife Eileen, our administrative manager, and four children. With his life-long enthusiasm for sports, especially softball and basketball, many local team members now face the loss of a superb coach and an avid fan. The extended members of the EMC “clan” who met Eileen and Mark as they helped at the ITEM Symposium booth can leave a message via an online guestbook.READ MORE
