A new multiple-input/multiple-output distributed antenna system has been introduced by Pulse Electronics. This DAS ceiling mount system includes high port-to-port isolation and improved gain patterns for both of its ports.
“Often MIMO antennas have problems with non-circular gain patterns with high deviation from min-to-max gains. In MIMO or neutral host applications the wireless carrier may not have adequate performance on both ports. Pulse MIMO antennas lead the industry with a low 6dB or less of peak gain differential. We’ve identified some competitors with as high as 16dB of peak gain differential in their model of low-PIM MIMO antennas,” Paul Fadlovich, director of infrastructure at Pulse Electronics, said.
Other features of the system include the ability to operate from 698 MHz to 5900 MHz, a low PIM specification of -155dBc and they are available in two configurations. They are also PIM certified and RoHS compliant.
