Vishay Intertechnology, Inc., has launched two new high-current IHLP inductors in the 2020 case size. These inductors offer high operating temperatures from 55 to +155 degrees Celsius, low profiles of 3 mm, high frequency ranges up to 1 MHz and wide inductance from 0.22 µH to 15 µH.
“The devices serve as high-performing, space- and power-saving solutions for voltage regulator modules (VRM) and DC/DC converters in high-temperature commercial and automotive applications,” according to the company.
The IHLP-2020CZ-51 is ideal for use in low-profile and high-current power supplies, point of load converters, and distributed power systems. The IHLP-2020CZ-5A is ideal for use in engine and transmission control units, diesel injection drivers, windshield wipers, navigation systems, heating and ventilation blowers, power seats, mirrors, LED lighting and more.
The IHLP-2020CZ-51 and IHLP-2020CZ-5A also have high resistance to mechanical shock and vibration, thermal shock and moisture. These inductors are also RoHS-compliant and lead free. Their lead-free shielded construction reduces buzz noise to extremely low levels.
