TDK Corporation has announced its new EMC filter – the EPCOS LeaXield active filter module. This filter minimizes earth leakage currents, which can cause RCDs and negative effects. The LeaXield compensates leakage currents up to 1000 mA and functions in frequencies ranging from 4 kHz to 500 kHz.
“LeaXield is now designed for rated currents of up to 150 A for 3-phase grids at frequencies of 50/60 Hz and a rated voltage of 520 V AC. The new active filter can be used in systems with leakage currents of up to 1000 mA,” according to the company. The filter also does not require an additional power supply.
