Femtoamp Bias Current Op Amps Introduced

Linear Technology Corporation has announced two new amplifiers, the LTC6268 and LTC6269, which are “FET-input single and dual op amps, which deliver outstanding performance for high speed and high dynamic range transimpedance amplifier (TIA) and buffer applications.” The LTC6268/9 is valuable because it’s compact at 3mm by 3mm, affordable and stable.

Features of the LTC6268/LTC6269 include an operating temperature range of -40 to 125 degrees Celsius, a supply range of 3.1V to 5.25V, a 3fA bias current at 25 degrees Celsius, a low wideband voltage and current noise of 4.3nV/√Hz and 5.5fA/√Hz, a 500MHz gain bandwidth, a -100dB harmonic distortion at 1MHz, and more.
