The FCC has officially announced a major update in the rules for certifying, labeling, and importing radio equipment devices into the U.S. This will greatly simplify the certification and importing process for manufacturers. The rules also address certified wireless modules incorporated into products. Appendix A of the Notice pf Proposed Rulemaking (FCC 15-92) outlines the specific changes in the rules.
