2012 EMC Symposium Hardware Experiment and Demonstration
Presenter: Thomas Van Doren, EMC Laboratory
When: Tuesday, August 7, 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The “self shielding” principle involves routing a current so that the geometric centroids of the outgoing and the return paths are coincident. This is a new way to visualize an old idea. The “self shielding” concept will be explained and demonstrated using a variety of cables such as an untwisted pair, a twisted pair, and a coaxial cable.
