Custom magnetics designer and manufacturer Würth Elektronik eiSos GmbH & Co. has announced that it has joined the Alliance for Wireless Power (A4WP). The A4WP is an independently operating organization comprised of wireless power and technology companies, including Samsung and Qualcomm, focused on developing a new wireless power transfer technology that allows “spatial independence” between charging electrical equipment.
According to Würth Elektronik eiSos, the company sees its decision as a step toward “a wide product range of transmitter and receiver coils for wireless power transfer” as the wireless power transfer market continues to gain momentum.
