Orbel has announced that because of the 3D CAD system, its EMI/RFI shielding solutions to now meet FCC regulations. “The arrival of 3D CAD programs has revolutionized the way the electronics industry is able to detect areas that have static interference within product parts,” according to the company. Orbel’s EMI/RFI shielding solutions now include board level shielding, finger-stock gaskets, and conductive fabric gaskets.
“3D CAD programs are able to design both one- and two-piece parts very quickly, creating a custom design that is sent electronically to plotting machinery, allowing for instantaneous photo-plotting before being sent to prototype production equipment. This process provides an upfront planning with finer detail on the print generated, allowing the engineer to proceed with confidence knowing that the shield will fit properly on the board the first time,” according to the company.
