Dayton T. Brown, Inc. and VSE Corporation have been selected to develop a wide range of subsystems and components for existing and advanced US Navy aircraft. Work will be performed within the Aircraft Prototype Facility located at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, as well as DTB’s laboratory on Long Island. The APF is designed to house a diversity of projects. Platforms include, but will not be limited to, F/A-18, E-2, V-22, EA-6B, the MH-60R/S and Unmanned Air Vehicles of many varieties. DTB and VSE will design and fabricate the aircraft modification prototypes, according to customer requirements, with the typical product being a prototype, validation and verification of the system or unit, along with a set of engineering drawings and data sufficient to perform large quantity replication of the system or unit developed.
