Microwave Vision Group, a manufacturer of test systems and antenna measurement in the telecommunications, automotive, defense and aerospace industries, has announced the release of µ-Lab, a patent-pending, compact and portable millimeter wave test system for evaluating wireless devices equipped with Wireless Gigabit Alliance (WiGi) technology.
“µ-Lab has the unique capability to evaluate the new class of WiGig devices. The increasing number of M2M applications and the fact that we have already sold a number of µ-Lab units forecasts a promising future,” Philippe Garreau, CEO of MVG, said.
µ-Lab is a versatile testing solution for devices designed for these applications, including on-chip antennas, cell phones, small connectorized antennas and laptops, the company said. µ-Lab is comprised of a small anechoic chamber measuring 5 x 5 x 5 feet, a rack underneath for the workstation computer and positioned controller, and an adjacent rack for the VNA. The basic µ-Lab model covers the 50-110 GHz bands, but other bands are available if required.
