Rohde & Schwarz has released the new R&S BBA150 broadband amplifier, which expands the frequency range for EMC testing up to 6 GHz for research, engineering, communications and radar applications.
The new frequency range is an addition to the already-existing range from 0.8 GHz to 3.0 GHz. Thanks to their state-of-the-art design, the amplifiers, which have been optimized for high frequencies, deliver up to 200W of output power in a compact and lightweight design, the company says. The broadband amplifiers feature good mismatch tolerance and can handle both short-circuiting at the RF end and an open RF output. This reduces both downtime and costs.
Models for two combinable frequency ranges are available: from 0.8 GHz to 3 GHz with power classes between 30 W and 200 W; and from 2.5 GHz to6 GHzwith power classes of 15 W, 30 W, 60 W and 100 W.
