The Chinese government is investigating the possibility of expanding Shanghai’s s transportation system with the introduction of a robotic electromagnetic bus.
According to the Chinese government, the electromagnetic bus will be equipped with a variety of sensors designed to keep the bus on the road and prevent any collisions. Magnetic units will be buried under specific roads to assist with levitation.
Plans for the bus also reveal that it will be completely autonomous, with no human driver.
The feasibility of the developed plans is still being determined and no completion date has been set thus far.
