Wireless solutions and services company OctoScope, Inc., has released a “real-time logic implementation” of octoFade, a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) wireless testing solution. According to the company, octoFade is the “first computational subsystem of an MIMO wireless channel emulator being offered stand-alone for integration into test instruments or testbeds.”
“OctoFade-module is the only channel-emulation solution that provides baseband interfaces for integration into test equipment or for use in a variety of radio development environments and testbeds,” Fanny Mlinarsky, president of octoScope, said.
OctoFade-3GPP RTL and octoFade-module hardware is designed to provide channel emulator capabilities to test equipment, such as base station emulators or VSGs, eliminating the need for stand-alone channel emulators.
