National Instruments has released a short application note on how to design a near field antenna system for near field communications (NFC).
MFC is a non-contact communication between wireless devices and things, such as, pay terminals or to share information between devices. Examples would include the Apple Pay and Google Pay process.
The ap note describes how the antenna system is simulated using NI’s AXIEM (part of Microwave Office AWR Design Environment). The design, courtesy of Rohde & Schwarz, is of an antenna operating at the ISM frequency of 13.56 MHz.
NI and R&S are both members of the NFC Consortium.
